Meet The Team

As the director of Speech Therapy Surrey London, Rosie Nicholson manages a team of highly skilled therapists, having sponsored specialist PROMPT therapists from Turkey, Jordan and the Philippines.

 

The therapists bring their valuable skills, training, and knowledge to ensure that you or your child receives the most appropriate service. 

​

Our speech therapists are HCPC registered, members of the Royal College, CRB checked, and have updated safeguarding and first aid training. 

​

If needed, our therapists are multi-lingual, with fluency in Turkish, Arabic, Italian and other languages.

Rosemary Nicholson

Masters qualification in Communication Sciences, University of Texas at Dallas

​

PROMPT certified (one of only a few in the UK)

​

Trained in Lidcombe, Solution-focused brief therapy, Talking Mats Trainer, Elklan trained.

 

Rosie is one of highest qualified PROMPT speech therapists in the UK. She has extensive experience working with both adults and children, having previously worked in Texas as a stammering specialist, for the NHS heading up the adult learning disability SLT team for Hammersmith & Fulham, and having set up in private practice some 7 years ago.

Rosie is a dedicated and enthusiastic therapist, who adopts a holistic approach to communication issues, and who prides herself on building a rapport with her clients.

Tricia has extensive knowledge of primary to Post 16 education and the SEND Code of Practice. She has presented at professional conferences nationally and internationally.

​

She began her career in Dallas, Texas where she gained experience in schools and hospitals, leading a group of therapists working in secondary schools and working as part of a neuro-rehabiliation team on an acute hospital ward. Since moving to England, she has worked in two NHS Trusts in London and managed an Autism Additionally Resourced Provision in a mainstream comprehensive secondary school.

Roxy Kodrasi

Bachelors degree from the University of Patras

 

PROMPT Level 1, Intro

​

She relocated to the UK in 2017 and specialises in working with children with ASD, as well as non-verbal children.

 

She currently works in mainstream and specialist Primary Schools and with private clients in their home and in the clinics.

 

She is trained in Talk Tools, Attention Autism, Colourful Semantics, PECS, Augmentative and Alternative communication (AAC), LEGO Therapy, Core Vocabulary, and Intensive Interaction.

 

Roxy is fluent in Greek and Albanian and is able to provide therapy in those languages. She also can read and write Braille, as well as communicate in Greek Sign Language, Makaton and Sign-a-long.

Francesca Bocalan

Francesca is originally from the Philippines and joined from the NHS. She brings her sensitivity and warmth to each session, which is reassuring for children with communication difficulties. She has a specific interest in motor speech and enjoys continually refining her skills in this area. 

​

She has worked in a variety of settings: communities, hospitals, schools, client homes, and private clinics. She has also worked with both children and adults with a range of speech, language, communication, and feeding concerns.

Hiyam Andon

Commenced Masters degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis in September 2020.

PROMPT Level 2, Bridging Trained

​

Hiyam is originally from Jordan, and is fluent in Arabic, French, and Italian. She is passionate when it comes to helping children develop their communication skills. 

​

Hiyam’s career started in 2008 and has led to her working within numerous environments including schools, clinics, hospitals as well as home-based therapy. This has also given her opportunities to work with children of all ages and different diagnoses.

​

Her therapy combines speech, PROMPT, and behavioural techniques, allowing her to problem-solve to improve communication and behaviours.

Nihal Aydin

Nihal is bilingual in English and Turkish.

​

Nihal’s warm and enthusiastic approach allows her to develop a rapport to her clients, including those with autistic spectrum disorder.

 

She has worked in different settings, from rehabilitation centre to private clinics, and has a particular interest in DIR / Floor-time, PROMPT, Sensory Integration and Palin PCI.

Courtney is originally from South Africa and joined from the NHS. She is an enthusiastic therapist who enjoys working with both children and adults in different settings such as in-clinic, schools, patient’s homes and nursing homes. She is friendly, warm and passionate about treating people in a holistic manner. 

​

She is trained in The Lidcombe Program, PACT Level 1, Verve Child Interaction, Attention Autism and Eating and Drinking Therapy with an interest in Autism working with parent-coaching and social thinking. 

Hannah Wilcock

Business Consultant

Hannah provides consultancy expertise across day to day business operations. She has 15 years of experience in sales and marketing function.

 

She graduated from Bristol University with a 1st class degree in Economics, beginning her career working in equity sales at JP Morgan Ceazenove, where she worked for over a decade. She has recently moved from her role as Associate Director in marketing and client relations for ICG to consult for Speech Therapy Surrey London.
