Assessment

We provide assessment for children of all ages. Your child is never too young to start on the journey of learning new motor speech skills with PROMPT.

We are able to provide assessment in the clinic, home, in school, or online depending on availability.

We use a combination of formal and informal assessments. Your therapist will assess your child with reference to aspects of their development, known as 'domains':

  • Physical-Sensory Domain

  • Cognitive-Linguistic Domain

  • Social-Emotional Domain

We do this in order to give you a holistic profile of your child’s strengths and weaknesses so that we can accurately:

  • Diagnose

  • Identify specific needs

  • Design appropriate intervention packages

  • Recommend necessary referrals.

We work closely with Occupational Therapists, Developmental Optometrists, Behavioural Scientists and Academic Staff.
